Since spy stations aren't really well-known by the general public, there isn't really a lot out about them in general. There's been a few things that pop up about them though here and there over the years, like some bands that include some of the transmissions on their albums, and I think they were part of the plot to the Vanilla Sky movie (hadn't seen that yet).
Annnnnd...I just found one on a video game ;D
Actually, technically the Submachine Network Exploration Experience isn't REALLY a game, but it's there nonetheless.
What the deal is, the Submachine games are a series of web point and click games where you have to figure out how to escape from wherever you are (which varies by game). There's some kind of a sci-fi storyline going on from various notes, diary entries, etc. found in several of the games, but I'll be damned if I know exactly what they're about; they seem to get progressively weirder and make less sense with each game. But they're great though.
SO great that there's supposedly over 11 million people worldwide that have played the games, and have come up with a lot of theories as to what the games are supposedly about in the creator's forums. So that's where the SNEE comes in, which the creator brought the teleporter from several of the games into this one, which you basically just warp around from location to location to see familiar artwork from past games, some of which is slightly modified, some stuff could be for the upcoming Submachine 7, and other stuff's totally new (none of which will make any sense to those who haven't played any of the games though, so it's for fans only). Plus several of the theories you'll find in printouts taped to walls and all.
Well, one room in particular I found had this humming noise, which, once I threw a switch, it became the obnoxious buzzing sound from the alleged numbers station "the Buzzer"! And there's a satellite photo of the station too in another room!
Oh wow...funny ;D Of course, the creator WOULD know about that thing now, wouldn't he?
So, any others out there?
